Layered Marketing- Is It a Thing?

I’m going to confess. I own a digital marketing agency, and one of the things we do is run ads for people. So, why would I want to encourage people to do things differently?

I grew my business entirely organically by putting content out there on social media, all over the place, for people to consume, read, enjoy, digest. And guess what? It works. Now, if you are completely dependent on ads, I don’t recommend it as a place to start, but I do recommend starting to create content consistently- even if it’s imperfectly- so that you have a good, solid digital footprint.

I know that it can actively support a solid ad campaign, and drop ad costs dramatically- by 30–40% or more! I’d say it’s worth it.

Hey- if I see your ad, chances are, I’m going to check you out, look for “is such and such a scam” online, and I may even test out your entire sales process for giggles and grins.

I am going to certainly Google you and see what people are saying about you.

This is why I’m such a huge fan of what I call layered or multi-dimensional marketing. Create audiences on a couple of platforms, put out content, collect reviews, and recommendations. And grow things.
